Every single child dreams about having a tree house, and not only children dream about it. A lot of grown ups will pay thousands of dollars to build a magical tree house with a unique sustainable architecture.

Some of the tree houses even have such a unique and original architecture style and design that you will stun when you see them… IF you see them.

Forget about the classical architecture of the renaissance times. Here’s a spectacular example of the new modern architecture — the invisible hotel. It is built in Harads, Sweden by Tham Videgard Architects. These architects already have fantastic designs on their list, which stand out with their non-traditional forms and proportions.

The TreeHotel was opened on July 17th. The hotel now consists of only three rooms or, better to say, cubes: the Wood House, the Blue Cone and the Bird’s Nest.

One of them is hanging with the help of wires and is closely surrounded with incredibly tall trees. The other one is literally on the tree. The entrance to this cube is through a rope bridge.

Another one has even a more interesting way of hanging. One of the tallest pine trees is running right through the cube and holding it high in the air. The only way to get inside that beauty is by a ladder. Fortunately, neither the rope bridge nor the ladder are invisible.

Architecture today might play a couple of tricks on you. As soon as you enter the cube, you’ll be surprised with the small space it has inside (172 sq. ft.), because from the outside it seems that the room inside the cube is huge.

The exterior of the cube is all covered with mirrors. If you are not familiar with the nature of the rainforest, it’s highly possible that you will get lost trying to find your hotel room. The mirrors reflect the trees around them and the sky above, due to which the cube becomes absolutely invisible.

The hotel is supposed to be very eco-friendly. A special film, that is visible for birds, will be applied to the glass. This will prevent them from crashing into the cubes.

The hotel will also provide nature walks into the wildness, which seem to be very interesting and attractive.

There’s definitely something to look forward to, as two other rooms will be opened in the fall this year. One of them will be called the UFO (because it’ll have a disc shape) and the other one — Room with a View.
