Homeowners Insurance Or Warrant InsuranceYour house is your shelter, and, of course, you always try to keep it safe and warm.

Imagine that you’ve been working hard, bought a nice house, purchased all the necessary appliances, installed the heating system, and so on. But what if something breaks down or gets damaged? Are you going to pay for the costs of repairs? Of course not, your homeowners insurance will.

But what kind of insurance should you choose for your house: homeowners insurance or warrant insurance?

Insurance policies are complex, and usually it is hard to understand when and what each of the them covers. So, here is a short, clear description of each type of insurance for home.

Homeowner insurance. If you choose homeowners insurance you will be on the safe side in cases of natural disasters: earthquake, heat waves, flood or tornado. There is also the threat of arson and burglary.

Simply put, homeowners insurance covers cases of accidents, when the damage is not your fault. For example, when children in the neighborhood suddenly break your home window, or if lightning strikes your roof, or when you are the victim of theft.

In all these cases homeowners insurance will cover the damage caused to your home and possessions, so this insurance is a must-have.

However, it will not cover your own chosen home repair expenses that are not related to accidents or theft.

Warrant Insurance. Warrant insurance will be your helping hand in case you decide to reconstruct your house or replace major appliances, including heating, water and electrical systems, telephones and so on. You may choose this type of insurance if you don’t want to waste extra expenses, time and efforts on the undesirable process of reconstruction. Also if your house is rather old and its appliances are already exceeding their working life, you may choose warrant insurance.
